VIP table vs regular entry in Barcelona: which is right for you?

Quick answer

Regular entry is best if you want to dance, meet people and spend little; with a guestlist it can be free. A VIP table is best for groups of 4-10 celebrating something: you get a reserved space, bottles, guaranteed entry and no queue. In Barcelona’s main clubs, tables usually start around €300-700 per table depending on the night and location, so split between 6 people it can cost less than you think.

How a VIP table works in Barcelona

A table has a minimum spend: an amount you spend on bottles. You don’t pay an extra entry fee for the group.

The price depends on three things: the club, the night and the table’s position. Tables by the DJ booth cost more than tables at the side. Saturdays and big-DJ nights cost the most.

Some clubs on Fourvenues list tables from around €500-650, with premium tables in the thousands on headline nights (to confirm).

When regular entry makes more sense

  • You’re 2-3 people and want to dance.
  • You’re on a student budget.
  • You want to move between clubs in one night.
  • It’s a weeknight with no big event.

When a VIP table is worth it

  • You’re celebrating: birthday, bachelor or bachelorette party, graduation.
  • You’re a group of 5 or more and would buy drinks anyway.
  • It’s a sold-out night and you need guaranteed entry.
  • You want a base to come back to between dancing.

The real cost per person

Example: a €600 minimum spend table for 6 people costs €100 each. That covers entry and bottles for the night. Six people buying entry plus four drinks each at the door could spend a similar amount.
